Adición de Teofilina o Aumento de dosis de corticoides inhalados en el Asma Sintomático: Un Metanálisis aleatorio y controlado
Es un artícuo chino que envió el Dr. José Ponce a quien le estoy agradecido por lo interesante, dicho articulo
fue discutido con mis alumnos de Postgrado adscritos a la Emergencia de pediatría
Propósito:
La teofilina a dosis baja tiene efectos antiinflamatorios. La meta de este estudio fue evaluar los efectos de la adición de teofilina en el asma sintomática comparada a aumento de la dosis de corticosteroide inhalados.
Materiales y Métodos:
La literatura asociada fue adquirida en bases a los criterios establecidos de inclusión para publicaciones. Los datos extraídos estaban más allá analizados por un metanálisis
Conclusión:
La adición de teofilina tiene efectos terapéuticos similares en la función perfeccionadora del pulmón como aumentar la dosis de corticoides inhalados en el tratamiento de asma sintomático.
Comentarios: no sabemos cual es el interes de relanzar este medicamento cuyas dosis toxicas y terapéuticos estan cercas, existiendo otros medicamentos para el asma con menos efectos colaterales.
