Dolor neuropático en niños

El dolor agudo y crónico continua siendo un serio problema de salud en la edad pediátrica. Hoy en día sabemos que los infantes perciben el dolor desde antes del nacimiento, en su breve edad de recien nacidos y durante toda su edad pediatrica hasta la adolescencia. Cuando el dolor no es tratado o su manejo es inapropiado se producen efectos deletéreos en estos pequeños pacientes. Con este interesante artículo sobre dolor neuropático en niños iniciamos una revisión del tema de dolor en pediatría que esperamos sea de su interes. We now know that infants perceive pain before birth, in his short age of newborns and throughout pediatric age through adolescence.
